In the beginning. . .

In the beginning there was Michele's flock. Me, a husband, 2 kids and 3 dogs.

Well, I'm finally doing it, I'm creating a blog for myself. Thanks to my friend Kim for pushing me into the 21st century and introducing me to this side of the cyber world.

Welcome to Michele's flock. Most of my posts will probably be about my children (2 kids, 3 dogs.)

I'm Michele. I work weekends as a NICU nurse and stay home with the kids during the week. I love scrap-booking, but rarely have time for it. My family and dogs keep me busy and I won't have it any other way.

Elizabeth is my 5 & 1/2 (don't forget the 1/2) year old daughter. She'll be going to kindergarten this fall and enjoys doing gymnastics. She loves being the social organizer for the neighborhood kids and writing invitations for her friends. Her most recent was for a birthday party that she was planning for her baby doll. She was inviting all of her friends and got upset when I explained to her that this was for a "pretend" party and that I would not be buying a real birthday cake for her doll.

Alexander "Alex" is my 3 year old son. He loves trucks, Hot Wheels cars and his SpongeBob blanket. He had gotten his tonsils out a month ago and is sleeping much better and his snoring has stopped. I think he would live off of fruit, iced animal cookies, Tang and chocolate milk, if I let him.

Alexia "Lexi" was my first "baby girl," she's my 8 year old Westie (West Highland White Terrier) and we had her for just over a month when we brought her home a friend, Einstein. She's a spunky little girl who sometimes gets nervous and piddles on the floor (or where ever she's standing.) She loves to chase the bunnies that run through our yard, but she'll stop when you call her name. Lexi's favorite foods are baby carrots, grapes and any kind of meat.

Einstein is our 8 year old Westie. Don't let his name fool you, he's not that bright sometimes, but he's the sweetest guy ever. He's my cuddler and is a great dog, except when comes to other dogs. Whenever he's around other dogs (excluding Lexi,) he barks like a crazy fool. It probably doesn't help that a rottweiler attacked him in our own backyard 5 years ago and torn him up pretty bad. Einstein's favorite foods are baby carrots, bananas and any kind of meat.

Sasha is our new 1&1/2 year old Husky. A few weeks ago we made a daring move and adopted her from the animal shelter. She had been a stray in our neighborhood and had been hanging around our house (my hubby fed her,) when a neighbor had called animal control and she ended up at the local animal shelter. I'm hopeful, but realistic about whether or not she's with us temporarily or permanently. My older little dogs are not very welcoming to her and we currently are keeping them separated most of the time.

Sean is the hubby, he runs a telecommunications company and is the computer whiz of the house. He enjoys playing basketball and watching anything Sci-Fi (Star Trek, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, etc.)
